The NRMA Insurance Brisbane Broncos have succumb to a clinical Melbourne Storm 30-0 at AAMI Park to extinguish their premiership aspirations. Despite matching their opponents blow-for-blow in the early exchanges, a masterclass second-half performance from outgoing halfback Cooper Cronk and a brace of tries to Billy Slater saw the visitor’s campaign end in brutal fashion. After conceding a late try in the opening stanza to trail 8-0, the Broncos would make their intentions clear as play resumed.
